Dr. Alfred Bisi Tofade
Business Leader & Global Strategist
Dr. Alfred Bisi Tofade is a distinguished business and investment leader, global strategist, and cross-border economic development advocate based in North Carolina, where he has resided for over 27 years. He is widely recognized for his work in facilitating high-impact investment flows, building strategic partnerships, and developing leaders across the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors.
Dr. Tofade serves as the President of the Nigeria Initiative for Economic Development (NIED), a U.S.-based platform dedicated to advancing trade, investment, and economic collaboration between the United States and Africa. In this capacity, he has led multiple high-level engagements connecting institutional investors, government leaders, and private sector stakeholders to scalable opportunities across key sectors including infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and technology.
He is the Lead Coordinator of the Nigeria–USA International Trade & Investment Summit, a premier bilateral platform designed to catalyze strategic partnerships and unlock capital flows between both regions. Under his leadership, he co-hosted three major U.S.–Nigeria investment summits in 2012, 2014, and 2016, attracting global investors and policymakers.
Through NIED, he has also led investment delegations to Nigeria, engaging senior government leadership—including meetings with the former Vice President in 2017 and 2019—accompanied by over 30 U.S.-based companies and investors exploring market entry and expansion opportunities.
Dr. Tofade is the Chief Executive Officer of Four Seasons Legacy Investment Limited, a global investment and business development firm with headquarters in the United States and operations in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. He is also the President of Transatlantic Edge, a strategic platform focused on facilitating transatlantic business expansion and investment advisory services. In addition, he is the Founder and President of Safelify International, a global travel and concierge services company serving clients across multiple continents.
An accomplished academic and thought leader, Dr. Tofade holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), an MBA in Organizational Leadership, and a Doctorate. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School (Executive Education), where he specialized in Governing for Non-Profit Excellence.
Beyond his corporate and investment leadership, Dr. Tofade is a highly sought-after leadership development expert, author, and international speaker. He serves as a Visiting Professor at leading universities in Nigeria, where he teaches executive leadership programs for senior government officials and private sector executives.
